The Guma Valley Water Company in Sierra Leone can no longer able to supply enough water in some parts of the city as it used to be in the past. Earlier, this statement has already been endorsed by the company’s acting Managing Director, Mr. Bankole Mansaray that indeed the Mile 13 water Dam can no longer meet the growing water demand facing residents in the western area.

The Western Area Peninsular Forest Reserve will obviously regain its original status as long as the relentless efforts of the community people are now emanating and visible to all. It could be recalled that the Western Area peninsular forest which was once a destination and a hub for important animals and source of energy and water is losing its condition in the past years due to activities of human beings in the country during and after the civil conflict in the country. But through the concerted efforts and contributions from environmental organizations, the government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Food Security and various communities the forest will soon regain its previous status.
