Liberia: Police Give Update On PPCC Boss’ Death

There are ploys by some unscrupulous persons to divert the focus of police investigators in connection with the murder of the head of the Public Procurement and Conssession (PPCC), Keith Jubah, Acting Police Dirctor Gayflor Tappeh, has revealed.

Keith Jubah was murdred in cold blood The PPCC Boss was on Sunday, November 1, 2009 murdered in cold blood by some unknown individuals at his home in the Morris Farm area, Kakata highway.

Addressing a news conference last Friday, acting Police Director Tappeh said the police have been receiving calls from individuals claiming responsibility for the death of Mr. Jubah but efforts to trace their location turn out to be fruitless.

He named Prince Jubha, ( purported son of Mr. Jubha ), Prince Kollie and one Sackie among others as those who claimed to have knowledge on the murder of Mr. Keith.

According to Col. Tappeh, “ no trace of these men have been found”. He told the news conference that the police is of the opinion that there are play to divert its focus from the real masterminds of Mr. Jubah’s death.

Speaking further, the acting Police Director said police investigators will remain focus in the investigation at the sametime, attempt to track down collers claiming responsibility for murding Mr. Jubah.


Currently according to Col. Tappeh, several individuals of the interest are being interrogated in an effort to apprehend Mr. Jubah’s suspected murderers. He said some of those being interrogated are residents of the Morris Farm, while are some are in police custody. He fell short of stating how many persons were in police custody.

Commenting on public perception that the PPCC Boss was assinated, Col. Tappeh said preliminary investigation shows that the murder of Mr. Jubah could not have been as a result of arm robbery.

According to him, Mr. Jubah was murdered with valuable items including two expensive cell phones watch, wallet amongst other was not taken away by his killers.

From what we have gathered, certainly that can’t be an arm robbery” acting Police Director among other things added.
