Ghana’s forest reserves has declined from 8.2 million hectares a century ago to a current 1.5 million hectares. In her quest towards mitigating climate change, Ghana would in January 2010, begin an ambitious nationwide aforestation project that also seeks to bridge the unemployment gap confronting the country.

Ghana: Parliament approves €28m German/French credit facility to support district assemblies
