Time is flying

September 18th, 2008 · by Van Anh · 12 Comments

It’s unbelievable, but it has been 20 days since I left Germany. Time is flying, but I don’t realise that because I am quite busy these days. So much work in the office as well as at home. I think I have to spend some time writing weblog, otherwise I will forget how to use it.

Where is Jan and Peter? Does anyone know where they are? They should write something here. I hear from Jan on Twitter only, but no trace of Peter. Maybe he is too happy to escape from us. Oh, ok, ok…

I don’t know from when, but now I get used to visit IIJ weblog and Twitter quite often. So happy to hear from all you guys again, to know that you are doing well. I am sure that Jalal and Arthur are busy for their weddings. I am still awaiting for their invitations and longing for their wedding pictures. Do you need my help with Photoshop? I will make your brides much more beautiful…

I was so excited last week as I got around 120 euro royalties for some stories which I wrote when I was in Berlin for my newspaper. I wish I could write more… If I did not travel so frequently at weekends, if I did not spend too much time wandering around for window shopping and then coming back to the guest house with tired feet, if I…., I would get, maybe 1,000 euro??? Am I too greedy?

It is likely that there will be a big plan for our website. We need to change it in a better way. It is now too dependent on the print newspaper. My boss said a real revolution will come. But it also means that there will be oceans of challenges and difficulties ahead us…

My Hanoi capital is now in the middle of autumn - the most beautiful season. Not so hot and stuffy, not too cold as Berlin summer. Great weather, I can say. Any one who wants to come here, please let me know. I will be very pleased and honored to be your tour guide. Feel free…

Hi Van Anh, you sure are greedy. You have also forgotten to use the more tag at the end of the first paragraph of your story, Jan will kill you I am sure.
Keep the gist from Hanoi coming. I have not seen Arthur since we got back but we have been communicating via email.
    Stay cool guys

Juliana, I will add some more tags, hihihi. Come here to Vietnam, I will share with you my honorarium.

I need a place to stay apart from a tour guide ;-)…maybe if you can find me a nice young pretty girl there I’ll settle down in Hanoi for a while hehehehe….anyways, ur right, it seems like our bosses had been waiting for us to come back so that they could literally bombard us with work. I’ve been terribly tied up with work, so much so that I haven’t even had to the time to make an entry at the blog here. But it’s good to know ur doing well Van Anh :-) I hope all our group mates are doing well.

    Dear Vananh,

Peter was right. You are calm and so pro-active. I am sure you are the one who could reason the revolution of the online version of your newspaper. Anyway, that’s great to have your entries in the weblong and it makes us to remember those pushing stories into that.

    Hanoi,
Vananh, i am a bit impressed what you say about Hannoi and also Tung and Thuy have told me alot about your capital city. We would be so cheery to see some pictures of Hannoi in the weblog, afterward i promise i will put some Kabul’s photos too.

Sid, can we share the girl as did in Berlin, if yes, lets go together. I will book your flights. hahaha, kidding!!! Everyone had thier own in Berlin, not shared. hahahahha

    Cheers,
    Said

@ Sid: Don’t worry. I know what place you need, hihi. It’s good that you work hard, but btw, don’t party too hard. Save your health…
@ Said: I will surely upload more Hanoi’s pictures, but there is something wrong with wordpress. Can’t make it better.

Said, I have never told u about my capital city of Hanoi before, only Tung maybe… I only told u some “special” things not relating to Hanoi hahahah…..

  • 7 Van Anh // Sep 22, 2008 at 4:22 am

@ Thuy & Said: I am very curious what “special things” you were talking about. Can you share with me?

  • 8 Mai Thi Phuong Thuy // Sep 22, 2008 at 4:29 am

Van Anh, I agree with you that Hanoi is now in the most beautiful season in year. Regrettably, I am now still struggling hard to survive in hot and humid climate in the capital city as my allergic rhinitis has come to me again and is even getting worse after my home return from Berlin. Berlin summer was really better for me….

  • 9 Mai Thi Phuong Thuy // Sep 22, 2008 at 4:33 am

No need, Van Anh. You can ask Said what “special” things were between us because I clean forgot all ha haha…

  • 10 Van Anh // Sep 22, 2008 at 5:15 am

@ Thuy, so sorry for your nostril allergy. Try to come back to Europe ASAP.
@ Said: Where are you? Thuy refused to tell me. Now it’s your turn.

  • 11 Thuy // Sep 22, 2008 at 9:47 am

Van Anh, don’t believe Said’s vain promises. Let’s see when he will post some Kabul’s photos on the IIJ weblog. May be next year…. haha….
